I have always had carpet in my family/living rooms until now--we are moving next week and I need to get some rugs for the hardwood floors. I really don't have any idea what a good price is, so I thought I'd come here and ask! Is $250ish reasonable for a 7.6' x 9.6' rug? It's this one: www.rugsusa.com/rugsusa/rugs/rugs-usa-moroccan-trellis/spa-blue/200MTVS27C-76096.html
i usually hope to get a $300-400 rug half price, so i'm happy if i pay between $150-200. but i know getting good area rugs can be $$$ especially if you want something to last more than a few years. we don't have kids or pets and are generally really gentle on things like furniture and carpets so i'm okay buying cheaper because it won't wear out super fast for us.

It's a good price, I've ordered from RugsUSA and the quality has been good. Every couple of months they do 75% off, so if you're not in a hurry you may want to wait for that.

I actually have that exact same rug in that size. I got it on a 75%off sale and while I'm happy with it for that price I wouldn't want to pay more. The first one came damaged and I had to return it and have them send a new one. That whole process was a huge headache and took several months but I' happy with it now. I'd wait for a 75%off sale- I'd imagine they will have one for Memorial Day.
I ordered a rug from RugsUSA during their last 75% off sale (November) and I still haven't received it (it's March). They also don't reply to my emails or my FB posts, and they don't answer their phones. Do I have cooties or something? I really like their rugs.
We have that rug. I think I got it during a 50% off sale because it always seemed to be out of stock during the 75% off sales. I would not want to pay any more than that for it. It looks nice in our room but it is not particularly comfortable or plush. My MIL has an expensive trellis rug from Ethan Allen and it is sooooo much nicer but it probably cost 3x as much.
