I'm so torn on which to get! The zoo we obviously wouldn't use in the winter except for the cool light show, but I think we'd use it a ton in the summer. Ds LOVES animals and they have play areas, water play area, And lots of interactive stuff. But the children's museum would be more year-round. I'm not sure that ds would be super into it at this age though? Im not sure- MOOKS? And I'm pretty sure dd wouldn't find it that interesting. Zoo is $15 cheaper, but again, Children's museum would get used more in the winter/crummy weather. Indy zoo and children's museum if anyone knows them. Both are about 45 minutes away, relatively the same hours.
We have had both at times and have always used the zoo a lot more just because it makes for a fun walk outdoors and there is always something new to discover.
I would maybe do the museum membership and just go to the zoo once or twice in the summer? If I lived in a climate with a shorter winter, I'd go for the zoo though. It's a good idea to have something for the kiddos to do during the winter!

I vote museum. There are a ton of things to do to entertain kids on a nice day. It is harder to entertain them when it is cold or rainy. I would rather spend my money on a indoor membership over an outdoor one.
I think I would get the zoo just because I think we would use it more. I am off in the summer and more likely to be able to take her places. Tough choice though. I could see how the children's museum would be good to use in the winter.

We have both but I'd say museum. We use it far more throughout the year than we will the zoo pass. ETA- The Indy Childrens Museum is our fav! Definitely the museum. They have that 0-5 area on the 5th floor that is awrsome. Sent from my SGH-T959V using proboards

I vote museum, because of the year-round factor, as well as the rainy day in the summer factor. There are so many options during the summer for outdoor stuff, but it's nice to have somewhere to go when it's miserably raining or discustingly hot out.
