I'm stuck. I want this tile for my master bath. It's small, around 100 sq ft. I've tried several tile companies and think my best bet is something around 6x20 or 6x24. i can't find cheaper than $5 a sq ft. Ay ideas? 4x12 would be even better, but if it exists, I don't know where. It doesn't help that I'm streaming Internet through my phone, so it take 10 mins to load a page... Grrrrr
I usually find that for small rooms you get the best prices by just randomly finding things at a bargain tile store that has small lots in stock. I went to a ton of B&M stores to find our kitchen tile.
We purchased 12x12 slate tile for our wood stove surround project & cut it all down ourselves to 6x12 & 3x12. It wasn't at all difficult to cut & the edges are nice & straight. It was time consuming, but well worth the savings for us. We are just DIYers, so if we can make good cuts with our HD tile saw I'm sure a pro can do an even better job pretty fast with their heavy duty saw. I'm sure they will mark up labor a bit from a regular tile job, but I would guess it will be a lot less than having to pay a higher price for already cut tiles that are really hard to find. BTW....the tile you posted in the pic is beautiful!
