DH and I are barely talking babies, but I love to talk baby names.
I'm a big fan of names that allow for full-name nicknames
Example: Elizabeth can go by Eliza or Beth or Liz. I like these NNs more than diminutives like Lizzy.
I don't understand Richard NN Dick (nor would I use it), but that's another example of the type of name I like.
Can you help me think of other such examples?
As a non-NN person, I adore NNs. DH goes exclusively by his NN, to the extent that almost nobody knows his full name. I'd like to find NN/full names for which I love both.
Serafina - Sera, Fina Caroline - Care, Ro Josephine - Jo, Joss Helena - Nell, Lane, Elle Isadora - Dora, Isa Theresa - Reese, Resa Brianne - Brie, Anne Rosalie - Rosa, Rose Katherine - Kate, Kit, Kat Genevieve - Eve, Gen, Vi
Charles - Charlie, Chase, Chuck Christopher - Chris, Kit, Topher Theodore - Theo, Ted Arthur - Art Frederick - Fred, Rick Griffin - Griff, Finn James - Jim, Jamie Wesley - Wes Abram - Bram

I like William NN Liam and Charles NN Chase. I've never heard of those before.
I prefer NNs that don't end with an E sound (-y or -ie endings, mostly) they sound young and are cute for childhood but don't, IMO transition well into adulthood. Think of the 30 y/o "Billy's" and "Annies" you know--do they sound silly as adults to you, or is this just a personal hang up of mine?

I keep reading this and I still don't understand it, lol. As a 31 year old Corinne who people call Cori, I think I'm managing to function as an adult...

lol...Yeah I have two friends who are married named Billy and Annie...never once thought they sounded immature or juvenile. And I realized both my H and I have names ending in the --e/-y sound. We never thought twice about it.
