1. I have tomorrow off to go to the city to spend 4 hours in doctor's appointments with my sister and niece (plastic surgeon and opthamologist) and we were supposed to go shopping afterwards and spend the rest of the afternoon together, but my sister scheduled a haircut. So I was sure to ask if we were then driving separately because I had things to do (i.e. not babysitting).
2. My new coworker is driving me batty. She is in her late 30s or early 40s and still isn't picking anything up. She hasn't taken her licensing exam yet (required) and the boss hasn't actually scheduled it (which means she is at least 3 weeks out from taking it) and I'm at the end of my rope, I think. I don't get paid enough to deal with her asking me the same simple questions every day, doing all the actual work and fixing her mistakes.
3. I can't stop eating Tootsie Rolls from the candy bowl, even though they're a little hard.
My bro and sister-in-law had a great appointment regarding their twin pregnancy. I'm still jealous we aren't currently TTC so I'm just living vicariously through them.
I devised a new cleaning schedule that makes me super happy. Nerd happy.
We still don't have a quote from the siding guy. That makes me throw-something-against-the-wall peeved. He was LATE to the appointment on Saturday...an hour late....and too laid back about getting us this quote.
My little monster is sick. We found blood on her face Friday night, and took her to the vet Saturday morning. She has a tooth root abscess that has pushed through her skin (supposedly this is common?), and basically has no options. We can have her tooth extracted but she's 15 and in really bad health, and the anesthesia will probably be too much for her. We're still grappling with what is the right thing to do.
My Passover headache has arrived. It never fails. I've had caffeine, tylenol, protein, and lots of water to try to make it go away. It's winning.
In positive news, I was inducted into my program's honor society last week. AND the weather is going to be spring-like soon.
Final random: I LOVE the AT&T commercial with the little girl who talks about turning into a werewolf.

I'm sorry munkii. Our vet has mentioned that if they need to do any further extractions on Cat (who nearly died during his last dental), they'll do a quick "gas-n-pull" instead of full-on anesthesia. Is that an option with your vet?

My H is considering calling in sick to go with me tomorrow so he can buy video game stuff (WHY AM I OKAY WITH THIS?!) and I'm encouraging him because I want to get my nails done.
We have a coworker telecommuting due to family sickness, which is actually against the policy. She rarely comes to the office and when she does, she just berates her team about what they've messed up. She made a comment this morning about "we come to work to work." In the 2 hours she was here, all she did was make phone calls to various utility companies b/c she sold her house. Doesn't sound like work to me.
DH and my Dad's birthdays are 3 days apart. DH, being the nice guy, decided to make his birthday dinner, which falls on my Dad's birthday a family affair, so it will be my family (who is coming into town), IL's, and friends all out to celebrate both guys. I'm so lucky not only to have an awesome DH, but one that gets along so well with my family. I think he's even helped mellow my dad a bit.
We have maternity pictures, finally, on Friday. I hope I don't look too Tori Spelling in the face. I feel like I've got 3 chins, but we've had to reschedule the first 2 times b/c of weather.

Unfortunately, not. He actually thinks multiple teeth need extracted, not just the one with the abscess. We keep asking ourselves how we could have prevented this, but in the end the answer is nothing. We haven't even had her a year.

Your poor baby, Munkii.
Kitty is needing some dental work too, but she is in kidney failure (so far controlled by diet) and I don't want to put her through that. Instead, I feed her expensive ass food, let her barf on my floors and cuddle at night. I'm going to be a wreck.
T and I play an online video game and a bunch of our friends started playing again and it's geeky but its like everything is right in the world again.
T made steaks last night and thought he ruined them. It was his second time ever grilling and the first time didn't end well. The steaks were really good.
