What did you do with all your kids baby clothes?

I kept everything from Jack. Luckily I had another boy so we have gotten to reuse.

Now with Leo I have given a lot away to friends who were having boys. I have kept back some sentimental outfits.

I will donate, give away or consign. It feels so liberating to get rid of all of this stuff.

DD #2 wears what she can from her sister, then once she outgrows it I pass it on to a friend with a baby girl, as long as it's still in good shape. I keep a few (very few) special/favorite things. I don't have the interest or space to hold on to everything.

Two totes is nothing. We regularly pack up their clothes when they outgrow -- I just did their 9-12m clothes and used our last tote. We use space bags inside, too, to compress. Most of it is all hand me downs, though.

Everything goes to my sister for her future kids, though I think her husband thinks he's holding onto it for us. But no. We're done. I keep sentimental outfits.

ETA well now I might be handing half of it on!!!!

We're going to use what we can for #2, but after that I want to give them to someone who is expecting their first. We didn't get very many hand me downs and I want to make it rain for someone.

It's all upstairs. I am patiently waiting for my friend and her wife to GET KNOCKED UP ALREADY so I can give them EVERYTHING because it's SO EXCITING and I am coming after her with a baster myself if they don't PULL IT TOGETHER.

I keep one or two outfits from each size and donate or store the rest for future kids. What will I do with the outfits I've saved? I don't have a clue. A quilt sounds nice. Edit: I've also given some to one of H's friends who was having a boy.

I wouldn't save them for kid's future kids. MIL gave me an outfit that was H's when he was a baby. We never used it. It's outdated and we were afraid to have the kid spit up all over it, because it is obviously important to MIL. I plan on framing it one day and hanging it in his room.

We don't know what this one is yet, and we had planned on having two kids so after my son outgrew clothes we put them in totes in the attic. I have a countdown in my head. This baby is due in 7 weeks, and will likely outgrow newborn and 0-3 stuff by the end of the summer, so I'll be able to get rid of two totes worth of crap by September, sooner if this one is a girl! We were lucky and received lots of our clothes as hand-me-downs, with the only caveat being pass it on when you're done. I am hoping to find someone due about four to five months after me who is cheap and doesn't care about used clothes.

I'm saving my favorites to make a quilt. Maybe. Someday. Possibly.

The others I either send to my sister, donate or sell. I just took a box in last week and got $30 for a bunch of stuff that otherwise would've been sitting in my basement.

Oh man, I'm the worst with baby clothes. I can't stand to get rid of anything yet even though I'm pretttty sure this is our last baby, and it's a boy so he won't be needing Sofia's clothes. I toss or donate the stuff I don't care about, like cheap onesies or whatever, but she has so many cute dresses and stuff. I'll probably hold on to the clothes for a few more years until we are 1000% sure we aren't having anymore kids.

I have an appointment for a consignment TODAY. I'll see how it goes. Other than that, I threw out anything with a stain and donated lots to friends and relatives.

We knew the bean was it, so I kept a few pieces for sentimental value and donated the rest. The really good stuff I offered to friends with baby girls.

I took 3 giant trash to goodwill, we gave some of DD's clothes away to one of DH's co-workers. The boys are sharing amongst themselves but all the stuff that's too small has gone to good will or the rag bag.

We kept most of his nb-1 yr clothes, also giving some to friends with boys. But I have two over stuffed trash bags of toddler clothes sitting in the guest room and I realize now that if I keep saving the way I was when he was a baby, my attic could become a consignment store.

So, I'm planning on donating those to goodwill

HA!  I'm fucked because I probably have 8.  I saved everything from when she was an infant, almost everything from year 1, then a little less each year.  I need to just go through it again and save only the things I really love.  Except that as a baby, I LOVED everything!

You're not.  Every time I had to put a size away with Kristen, it had to be An Event because I needed to be by myself and cry and reminisce about every outfit.

I'm holding on to most of it I think. I'm going to keep his ONE newborn size outfit forever, and probably a couple of things that are my favorites from each size category, but the rest will be shared with my BIL and SIL who want to have lots of kids, and they're going to share their girl clothes with us when we adopt.

Once Kate has outgrown them, we've been passing them along to my SIL for my niece who then has passed them along to my sister for my other younger niece. I think the only things I didn't pass along were their coming home outfits and some personalized onesies.

If this baby is a girl, I'll get them back; otherwise my sister and SIL will have to decide who gets to keep them for the next baby girl. I will probably lay claim to some of the nicer party/holiday dresses to save long-term, though.

There are very few things I can't stand to part with but other than that, I try to pass some along to SIL that has a boy a year younger than David. Everything else I donate to the donation trucks that come around.

I have at 1-2 totes per clothing size from newborn through 4. Yeah. Then there is the bin full of shoes. They're nicely labeled regarding size and season, in the basement and I pack pack up outgrown clothes/unpack new clothes as needed. I probably won't get rid of much until brother and SIL have kids so I can offer them stuff if they want. After that I'll keep some favorite pieces, and make a giant donation for the rest.

I kept everything Edith ever wore in case kid 2 was a girl. When Freddie came along, I gave everything away. His clothes are going to my niece, whose baby is coming any day now!!

I saved the special few outfits from when my kids were babies and gave the rest to family/friends.  I didn't want 30 year old baby clothes from my MIL so I don't feel the urge to save them to "pass on" to my poor DIL's someday.  haha.

We kept EVERYTHING from DD in case our second and last was a girl. When we were sure DS was going to be a boy, I gave everything away to friends with little girls. It was amazing to free up that much storage space. I kept a few sentimental things.

This baby hasn't outgrown anything yet, so I don't know what we'll do with his stuff.

The INSTANT he grows out of something I immediately give it to a friend with a kid who can use it. We have a very few select items of sentimental value we kept but that's it.

Currently I have all the nice clothes packed in boxes for two pregnant friends to use this summer. When they are done, I would like to sell the good quality stuff, donate the cheaper clothes, and keep a few outfits that are sentimental.

I like to give away or consign stuff, but it drives me nuts when people beg for baby clothes.  My SIL has been asking for my DD's stuff for 4 years, and she isn't even TTC yet.  She got hissy when I consigned some of it.  I don't even know why you would want 5 or 6 or 7 year old stuff!
