If you cause an accident, injuries can add up very fast.
Our state min is 15/30, which is not very much at all. One day in the hospital can eat that up in no time, so I would personally feel much safer at 100/300.
We have 100/300. That is usually the max you can get on an auto policy.
Just in case you don't know, the first number (100) is per person and the second number (300) is per accident. So, if there are 4 people in a car, they have to split the $300k between the 4 of them. If it is just one person, the most they can get is $100k. So, the state minimums (sometimes 15/30 or 25/50, depending on where you are) is not much at all.
The other option is typically 50/100. I don't think 100/300 usually costs a whole lot more than 50/100.
