Damn dog peed all over the basement. I mean literally, all over the basement. He started peeing at one end, and ran across the basement peeing the whole time.
It was a spite peeing. He had been been out twice earlier in the evening, and hadn't asked to go out one time since then.
When the skids come for a longer visit (like for the summer) and Willow gets used to them being here every day, the day after they leave she poops in the basement. Every.single.time. We call it her "protest poop" since she loves it when they are here.
While we want to punish her, especially when she goes on the carpet, we don't because she is so stinking cute and we love her to death.
My dog does this. It is anxiety related. We had her tested for UTIs like 5 times. We finally figured out it is when we leave on the weekend. Not during the week that is our routine. But if the whole family leaves on the weekend to go somewhere she unloads on our carpet despite 2000 sq feet of our being hardwood. And she does the running while peeing thing.
Anyways that is just one hint that it might be anxiety related. We now take her out to pee each time we leave. It is annoying but it fixed the issue.
eddy he's my in-laws poodle, and he does have separation anxiety when he's away from MIL. But he's been with us for 2 weeks, and hasn't done anything like this.
Last night we were with him the whole night and he was well-behaved, so I'm not sure what happened.
