We just found out we're in the bottom quarter of the waitlist for UW West Campus. The infant list is 200 babies long, and that's Faculty/Staff only (they get priority at West Campus; the others give priority to students).
There are a whopping nine spaces for infants. I had to ask her twice because I thought she meant to say "ninety" or "nineteen".
Can someone share a feel-good daycare story to help me feel better?
no feel-good day care story..but i'll have you know my mom is on a mission to find you a daycare. she said my aunt's SIL is watching a under 5yo (my mom isn't sure how old), and will ask her if she wants to watch in an infant..but until then, she will find out where/how much the daycares are in that area.
Well I did the math and I think half of those kids will age out of the waitlist by the time baby needs DCP. Still that means around 70-100 kids. We should have written waitlist check the day she took the pregnancy test .

So, is the length of the waitlist for how many ppl are waiting total? Or how many ppl are waiting for a spot the same month you are? 'Cause that's a big difference. And some will fall off b/c there won't be a spot when they need it and they'll have to go w/ a back up plan.
Come up w/ a backup and hope for the best.
It's the total number. Still, "only" 80-100 people ahead of us for 9 slots isn't very good odds.
