We were willing to spend up to $700ish, IF there was a good reason to do so. Like if all cheaper options were really crappy and ugly. We ended up spending $100.
Ours was $120 on sale with a free mattress thrown in. Budget was about $200 i figured we'd save money now and spend more on their "big kid" beds, something they will have longer, in the grand scheme of things
Ours was a gift from my dad but I wanted to stay around $300 or under which if I remember right it was right around 300. I wanted the convertible crib that eventually becomes a full size bed so as long as we have more kids it will get used to its full potential eventually.
f/u on this. my bff and iwent to ikea this morning and land of nod this afternoon. we saw the Gulliver and then i'm not sure the brand at land of nod but it looked JUST like the babyletto one. she agreed the nicer one was worth the dollars. obviously mr & mrs sarack are still undecided.. but i'm gonna put a hold on this for now.

If you love it and can afford it, go for it.
I just gotta say, obviously the Land of Nod ones are nicer, and so is the one you like. And if you compare the IKEA one to the nicer ones, the IKEA one doesn't look that great. But, when it's set up in your cute nursery, it's gonna look fine, and much better than in the showroom.
i had no problem with the ikea crib when h said yes to it. in fact, i was sold on it. and then he made a comment.. and now i feel like he won't let me get it.
i just think I've had too much talk about it. i need to just let it go for a while. i need to focus on the chaos that is my house this moment.. and then worry about that stuff later.
If we have to get a crib too, I said "we can always go with IKEA" and she gave me a funny look.
Maybe I can at least convince her to get the cosleeper that converts to a play pen.
ETA our whole furniture sitch is complicated by the fact mom might move in with us for a while, so we can't really know when babyniq would have his own room, which room that would be, etc.
