A lot of what I listen to is on iTunes, but very few are signed at the moment. For Pop, I like Allison Gray and Stacy Clark. In Americana, I like The Chris Weaver Band and The Shawn and Hobby Band. Chris Weaver just broke into small market country about 3 weeks ago and cracked the Top 50. Shawn and Hobby have a video on Youtube called "Far From Home/Heartbeat" that is awesome and have opened for some really big acts recently. For Country, I like Leslie Craig, John Stone, and Katie Cole. Leslie has an amazing voice and doesn't use Autotuner which I think is very awesome. Her new release is out any day now. Katie Cole is working on a new album with the Smashing Pumpkin's Producer Howard Willing. John is just fun, but has an old school country sound. His CD is $4 on his website since you only have to pay shipping.
The only signed stuff I listen to regularly at the moment is Jason Aldean, Steve Carlson, Jake Owen , Jerrod Niemann, My Darkest Days (they rock if you like Nickelback), Ty Stone and The Truth, and The Pistol Annies/Miranda Lambert. My taste is all over the place. I'm getting sick of traditional radio stuff and branching out quite a bit. I will always love The Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bob Seger, Joe Cocker, and Earth Wind and Fire. I'm working on talking DH into taking a night off in September to see Earth Wind and Fire since I've been on a huge kick with their stuff. Our next concert is Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean.
Now I'm curious to hear the new Garbage album. I'm hoping it's better than Pearl Jam's new stuff from last year.
They are my guilty pleasure group. I had Party Rock Anthem in my head for a week after NYE since they blared it every 15 minutes in the street outside our hotel starting at 1PM. It took me forever to figure out it was the hamster song. Lol!
