Has anyone ever been put on Nuvigil? It is used for narcalepsy and such, but I was put on it...not sure why, I think for more energy. So yesterday was great. I had a ton of energy and felt happy, a little dizzy but nbd. Today I feel like I washed down a sleeping pill with two pots of coffee. I am simultaneously jittery and tired, completely disoriented, keep having random crying spells and can't concentrate on crap. Dr. said I may have some side effects but to stick with it and see him in a couple weeks. I guess I am just looking for a kick in the butt that I need to push through and deal with it but I don't waaannnnaaaa ::whine::
Edit: The problem was not the new medication, however, I'm not getting any positive results from it either so on to the next I suppose.

I've been on Provigil back in the day before Nuvigil was around. I LOVED that stuff. I was taking Seroquel at night, and unless I popped a Provigil when my alarm went off, I would sleep for 15 hours straight.
My MD wanted to put me on Nuvigil instead of addressing some hypothyroid stuff. After looking at the laundry list of side effects, I said no thank you. The biggest one for me is that it interferes with birth control and makes it less effective. I hope your MD is able to help you find something that works better for you.
Are you sure you're at the right dosage? You can cut those pills in half or even thirds. I'd try a smaller dose. If you're jittery, the dosage is too high.
