I posted a month or so ago about my frustrations not getting knocked up and was waiting to meet with my OBGYN.
Well, met with her, went over things and got testing started. My husband did the semen analysis first and the results were "normal, but the motility was a little slow." Next, I did a progestrone test 9 DPO. The results were 2.7, which she said was appropriate and showed I was definitely ovulating.
I need to schedule another appointment her, but work and school is really busy and I don't have a free day for a few weeks.
According to those tests, everything is "okay" yet still no results.
I don't know that I have a question, more-so just rambling at this point..
{{ swagger }}I can only imagine what that would feel like. On one hand, you're thinking, "oh good no problems", but on the other, "then why isn't this working"?!?
Hopefully you will get knocked up before you have time to figure it out, and if not that you get a diagnosis soon.
Thank you everyone. I haven't actually talked to the doctor about the results. With DH's, her MA called to tell me. She said that after I got the progestrone levels back, I needed to schedule a meeting w/ the doc to discuss options and plans. With my progesterone - I just got an email from her with the results. Nothing else.
So I'm sitting here, period is due tomorrow. Breasts are swollen, but not painful. No cramps. Face is broken out. Mostly typical if I'm about to start, but I usually have pretty painful cramps 2-3 days before. Part of me is "I'm totally pregnant" and the other is "Be real, you so aren't." Love it.
9dpo is a bit later than the 7dpo that progesterone is usually tested on - but an RE would look for a progesterone level over 10 on 7dpo of an unmedicated cycle.
I'd ask to retest at 7dpo and see from there (or hopefully you're pregnant and won't need another test!). Over 3 suggests that ovulation has occurred so I'm guessing the OBGYN assumes that 2.7 on 9dpo would mean it was over 3 at 7dpo. My level on 7dpo was 3.5 and I was put on progesterone suppositories before moving onto Clomid months later.
