We just got our packets at work for open enrollment. Our health care premiums are only going to be increasing 0.4% for next year for our insurance, which is a PPO with a $1500 deductible through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Mass. I just think it is interesting that, in light of the talk of increasing health care costs, ours maybe (just maybe) seem to have stabilized a little. I wonder if that is a Massachusetts specific thing - just because we have had the mandatory insurance for a little longer? Or is something else at work?
Ours didn't go up significantly either this year. I think things are leveling off. I've had a few friends get refunds under the rule that ins. co's must spend 85% of premium on actual care.
