listen, i'm type A. i like control. i finally, through massive effort, scheduled all of my doctors' appointments. but they're all confusing and on the same days and blah blah. the OB nurses at my OB's office (who answer questions about medical stuff when you call) have been super nice and helpful and sent over all the referrals and so forth.
i know it's their job, but they've also talked me off several ledges and i'm sure added notes to my file like "thyroid check is on the same day as her in laws arrive and her dentist appointment; she's going a little crazy."
i'd like to, in the next few weeks, just send them some flowers to say "thank you for listening to me."
weird? normal? cool? i mean, i love my doctors too, but kristin and i are FRIENDS now. lol.
I want to send something to the nurse in my ob's office as well b/c she has done all my stats, etc. for the last 9 months except for about a month when someone new was there and she was horrible! I am definitely sending her a birth announcement separate from the one to the general office maybe with a giftcard to a local coffee shop?
Not weird at all. I brought donuts to my doctor's office one morning and got a bonus ultrasound. Ya know, I was in the room with the machine, why not?!
i don't think it's weird. i'd probably send something edible though, like a cookie delivery or edible arrangement or something.
This..my brother has been spending most of his life recently in the hospital and for the last 2 occasions (V-Day and Easter), my mom has made his medical team heart pockets with candy and eggs with candy. They absolutely loved it and this last time his former ICU team clapped when they saw them walking up the hall with a basket of treats. It makes their day.

My mom gets stuff like this and she always brags to me about it. she spends so much of her time in the hospital being stressed out, it really makes a positive impact on her day.
