anti-baby @uwhuskygirl came up with the way i announced..and it was to have it written on my birthday cake (my birthday fell on 13 weeks for bjl). you know how i did it this time
at work, i have a HUGE, MAJOR project that starts november 14th in my group....i just told my group i was sorry, but i won't be here for it bc i won't be here...and when they said why, i said "maternity leave"...it wasn't a big announcement...just with 2 or 3 people at a time.
i didn't announce at work with bjl bc i hated my coworkers so much at that time.
I love the shoes idea! I have a friend that recently announced and she is infamous for wearing cute fedoras... so she stuck a picture up with a guy fedora, a girl fedora and a baby fedora and said: baby ___ arriving 10/10/13 (or whatever the date was).
I think you should definitely do something to make it obvious that it's twins...
In person or for FB? We just told our parents and siblings, no big to-do. My dad did like a little quiz at half-time of a Seahawks game to announce to my aunts and uncles.
For FB, we posted this: (everyone understood, except a couple "special" people thought it meant we were having twins.)
Oh, wait, yours will be way more fun b/c you get to announce two! Two sets of shoes or whatever.
on fb. i should have made that clear. our family and friends already know we're having babies.
These are cute! The "bun in the oven" saying makes me cringe, so i'd avoid that personally, but any of these are cute. The way we told family is with homemade fortune cookies that had personalized messages, so I took a picture of them and we'll post that to FB later this week (at 15 wks, after hearing the HB again).
