The last mascara I bought was MUFE Aqua Smoky Lash, but it is irritating my eyes. I'd like to exchange it for another mascara. What do you use-from Sephora since that is where I purchased it?Drugstore recs are fine too, but that will have to be a different purchase.
Clinique Lash Power. It comes in black or brown and it's waterproof and smudgeproof, but it *will* come off with warm water (like in the shower). When it comes off, it just slides off the lashes instead of smearing across your face.
It's not a very dramatic mascara, though. It's enough for me and it makes a real difference, but it isn't volumizing or lengthening.
My favorites are Lancome High Definition, Buxom Lash, and Maybelline Stiletto mascara. I prefer my lashes to look long rather than full. I'm not sure what you are going for.

Department Store - Chanel Inimitable Sephora - Benefit Bad Gal
I had a sample of Chanel Inimitable Intense and I loved it. That may have to be a different purchase. Also, how could I have forgotten about Benefit Bad Gal?!
I tend to like the fuller look, as opposed to just longer. For me the best for that are:
Diorshow (just the regular, non waterproof) or Benefit Bad Gal
I love Benefit and tried their "They're Real!" mascara and it sucked. I was sad.
I used to use Diorshow blackout waterproof all the time, but I just didn't love it. I liked it, but I wanted to see if I found anything else. I'll probably have to try Benefit Bad Gal again.
If you're set on buying one from sephora, I second the lights camera one Scotty posted. Although, I'm over splurging on expensive mascaras because i just don't see how they are that much better than drugstore ones. I have yet to be swept of my feet by all the ones I've tried at sephora.
Right now, i ditched my lights, camera, lashes one for the cover girl clump crusher one in the green tube. I like it so far. I'd rather spend $8 on that than $20 on something that works just as well at sephora.

I haven't tried the Blackout one, but my fave is definitely the Diorshow (the second one vicky put in her post). I feel like nothing gets my lashes as big and full as that one. Benefit comes really close, but isn't quite the same.
covergirl, although apparently the best for the money, has something in it that i'm allergic to. which is annoying. i've never tried maybelline, but for a long time used almay something or other.
I'm so annoyed. My favorite mascara was super cheap and the only waterproof mascara that held up to Texas summers. I just found it last year and they recently discontinued their waterproof formula. WHY would they do that? It's Boots No.7. I tried to find it online and it's $30 on Amazon, lol. Price gouging!
I have a sample of Lancôme Hypnose Star that I LOVE. I plan on getting a full size tube when I'm done with the sample.
It washes off easily but it doesn't smudge during the day and makes my lashes full and long.
I know you said it doesn't smudge but is it waterproof?
I don't think it is, but my eyelids are really oily and even some waterproof formulas I've tried smudge really badly on me. The Lancôme doesn't at all.
I am working my way through this years lash stash. Last year the only one I loved enough to buy was fairy drops, though I did like stilas forever your curl. This year I have only used tartes lights, camera, lashes which is ehhhh, beautinizer fiber wig which is awful, and benefits they're real which I didn't like at first but now I think is pretty good. But fairydrops scandal queen is still the best.

Several months ago, I got a mascara sample in my Birchbox: ModelCo Fibre Lashxtend. I love it, but it's expensive. I haven't broken down and bought any yet, though.
