All this food talk- Ground Beef?

We get 1/4 cow every year so I have far too much ground beef sitting on my hands.  Besides the classic cheeseburger, meatloaf, meatballs, lasagne, and sloppy joes, what do you do with ground beef?

But they're sooooo borrrringggggg. LOL. I rarely use the ground beef since I get bored so easily. And I use a lot of ground chicken/turkey since they are healthier options.

Layer- browned ground beef, corn, mashed potatoes, American cheese. It's like trashy shepherd's pie. My mom makes it and I eat it until I'm sick.

sheppard's pie (i think it's supposed to be called cottage pie when you use beef) but we use sweet potatoes on top, it's so much better.

I make tacos/nachos, hamburger gravy and mashed potatoes, hamburger/cheese burger potato soup, tator tot hotdish. Also, some of the stuff you mentioned already.

Yes! That's how the farm 2 miles down the road sells their beef. It lasts us a really long time, we get fresh eggs from them too.

Oh, and bolognese sauce!  You can't forget that!  Pretty much, you can add ground beef to any saucy/cheesy dish like mac and cheese, alfredo, etc.

Yeah.  I don't get too fancy with my terminology.  

I'm also too cheap to buy ground lamb.



ps. OP - you can mix ground chicken or ground turkey in with your ground beef if you wanted to use that.   I second the pasta sauce.  Last time I got a bunch of ground beef, I made a ton of bolognese sauce and froze it in ziplocs to use when I wanted fast meal.


I really really really hate cooking ground beef, so often when I do, I'll try to cook for a whole day and just make a whole bunch of shit to freeze.  Otherwise I never get around to using it.  (inc taco-like meat/seasoning to freeze)
