Are there any "real" bands that have put out albums meant for kids? I could totally see someone like Barenaked Ladies putting together an album.
I know every celebrity under the sun has a children's book, since it's free money, so I figured maybe the same is true for musicians?

BNL does have an album from 2009, it's called Snack Time. It's pretty good, but geared towards the older kid crowd (like 5-9). But it's still fun.
I love the ones from PUSA lead singer, he's got a few good ones.
I also think Ben Folds does some kid songs.

Caspar Babypants, Barenaked Ladies, They Might Be Giants...
Here's a good write-up on the subject:

For me it's "Brown and Lonely Worm," "Baby Bear," or "Baby's Getting Up."

We got the Silly Songs with Larry CD for M's birthday, and I constantly have Barbara Manatee stuck in my head.

Also, I gotta say, I'm an old-school kid songs lover. I love Raffi, Fred Penner, and Sharon, Lois, and Bram.

Jack Johnson did the Curious George soundtrack. Some adult songs that are kid friendly on there, and some kid songs that I don't think are adult-friendly.
