But then baseball season started, and the only way to get the games was to go back to cable.
However, I played hard to get and managed to get them to offer me the unadvertised U100 package and HBO for 6 months. So with internet, we're only paying $50 a month.
So, I guess if we're going to fail, we did it in a MM sort of way.

I would sooner cut out booze, coffee, eating out, and about 75 other things. My DH is miserable without his sports. He also works for a company that has a cable division, so that he calls it "market research".

I kept saying that I was going to cancel cable while H deployed, but I was too scared. WTF was I going to do at night after the kid went to bed?!?! I need my trash tv to keep me company! Cutting cable with H home is not even an option for him, he won't even discuss it.
Yeah we're not cut out for the cable free life either.
I am super jealous of your rate. We allegedly ate still under a "promotional rate" but are paying something like $160/month for cable and Internet. It's ridic.
Eff Comcast. One of the only things I find appealing about the far suburbs here is that they have cable competition. My dad lives in Kenmore and legitimately has a choice.

We cut for a year and then went back. We did save a lot of money, and we got a good deal when we finally went back. Cutting cable just isnt for everyone.
I bought NHL center ice this year. It was only $50 with the short season, but still. It's kind of ridiculous what I spend on cable/internet/phone. Hopefully some will be deductible on my taxes.
That's an awesome rate! I also have HBO, and only half off for 6 months, I think.
