Here's the before. It's not great, but it's the only one where my nipples aren't staring at you.
First cut. I should have left it at this, it is cute.
But I really wanted it shorter, and I was high on risk taking, so I cut again and attempted bangs.
I don't like it as much now. I do like it with the bangs combed the other way, so lesson learned there. They are long enough to pin if I want.
I just feel like it ages me a bit. It's too soccer mom/Mrs. Brady. I really want it even shorter. I want it off my damn neck and out of my kids' reach. I'm too afraid to touch it again tonight though, so I'm going to sleep on it. Do you think I can pull off a shorter cut? Like cheekbone length? Give it to me straight. I have gained and lost about 60 lbs three times in the last three years now so my self image is a little damaged and warped.

I agree with meaty, you have great scissoring skills. If you come over to my house, I'll let you use my Inspector Gadget mirror.
And I agree with everyone (except Overture) that you can go shorter. This is the most recent picture I have of my hair but it's a bit shorter now. I think that you should go this length, but obviously I'm biased.
I like the last picture best also, and I'm going to vote with the minority here and say leave it as is-atleast for a few days. It's really cute, and you may grow to like it! If you are still not loving it in a few days, then reconsider.
I'd leave it for a week and if you're still unhappy with it you can always cut more off then. A week gives you enough time to play with it and style it different ways

Thanks everyone! I couldn't help myself and cut it one more time before I went to bed. I'm really happy with it now. It is juuuuust long enough for a tiny ponytail when I work out.
I've trimmed my hair on my own for the last few 6-8 months. But I am too much of a puss to try inches like that. You did a GREAT job!!Love it.
Thank you! I figure if I mess it up I will have a valid reason to shell out the $$ the next day and go to a pro. If it turns out well, I've saved the money. It's win-win.
