A Jump From Paper purse while we were at Universal yesterday. Toon Town seemed so appropriate. Got the "Cheese" in blue instead of orange. What a waste of $90 but it makes me
I think it's adorable and I'll enjoy lugging it around town and taking it to school with the kids to ooh and aaah over. It makes me chuckle. It's a "silly" trendy purchase rather than a thought-out "this is a classic" which is what my purses generally are. But the grands and I had a blast picking it out in the shop. And now they want one or purses with studs or cheetah print - busted them right out of Disney Princess mode. I should have paid the $5 to have my camera charged at the same time because it died and now I have thousands of Disney photos but zero (well, a very few) Universal ones. No Seussland photos for next year's Dr. Seuss week. They did get Thing1 and Thing2 sweatshirts to combat the downpour (and make it easier for me to call them when they started wandering off. "Hey Thing1! Keep with the group!" "Where are my Things?")
I'm sure he'll be saying something along those lines at some point, hisno1girl
muffin0 - it made the lines much shorter than usual, though I was not happy about being even more drenched on the water rides DH was smart enough to say "no" to but the girls absolutely wanted to ride at least once with a grown up so they could decide if it was fun or not before they went alone. And the Disney driver took us directly to the Polynesian rather than the trans center since it was pouring when we got on the bus and we were his only passengers. I thought that was very cool of him to do. 'Ohana at 9:45 so we could see the fireworks from our table; I was chewing my nails hoping they weren't going to cancel and they didn't (and meet the prinesses with the FastPass at 11:15 because the lines were two-plus hours long in the daytime when the weather wasn't miserable. Perfect timing for no lines for two moderately tired but very excited girls is after 11:00 p.m. apparently.) DH is NOT a Disney person. "His last time ever" per him.
I think I'm going to trade out my boring beige alligatored-leather Kate Spade for the ToonTown for the trip back. Just bring my tablet and ID and leave everything else in the carryon. How FUN! I can't wait for the double-takes, which is the main reason I bought it. The "What on Earth?" factor is fun.
puppyluv - the one I bought ("cheese" in blue so it has a different name, I'm sure) is 10x12 and holds my Asus Transformer Prime with keyboard attached and in a vinyl case; with it zipped it's a snug fit but it does fit and unzipped gives it a bit more room. The "Play Hooky" (15.5x14) "Buzzed" and "Sober" (16.5x15.4) are a bit larger and I'm pretty sure will fit a small laptop; they definitely won't fit my 17" even though it's an ultraslimline. I *almost* bought the "Bonjour" which was pretty roomy and has good dimensions as well, but didn't have a crossbody or adjustable straps so if I had the bag at my shoulder it came just below the armpit; I didn't really like the feeling but if you carry rather than shoulder-carry it is adorable (they also had it in blue as well as the yellow/orange at ToonTown) and pretty large at 17" wide and I am fairly certain it would be deep enough for a small laptop. The outside pockets are useable too.
