is so pathetic. We had so much fun at the zoo today even though her nose was running like a faucet and her eyes were watering even through the Benadryl. Then, she was a little cranky when we went out for dinner (DH's birthday), but pretty good. When I picked her up out of her highchair she was on fire. We got home and her temp was 102.3 axillary. I dosed her with Advil and more Benadryl. It's so hard to get her to take meds these days.
I put her in a short sleeve PJ set and a muslin sleep sack so she can be cooler. Now, she's upstairs in bed sleeping, but she wakes up every 20 minutes or so, sits up, cries and whimpers for a minute, then lays back down and goes to sleep. It's heartbreaking. I'm going up in 30 minutes to check on her temp and try to get some Tylenol in her if necessary. I really hope it's not a sinus infection or something. I don't want her to be sick on her birthday on Tuesday. She's just so pathetic right now.
ETA: and now my mom's friend the nurse is freaking me out on FB because she's been whimpering, adn that's "not a good sign" Not trying to make an ER trip tonight.
She's whimpering because she doesn't feel well. Your Mom's friend should shove it. It's not like it's a medical sign or symptom like vomiting or something. Madison was just whimpering as I held her and she only has a tiny little cold.
I hope she feels better soon and that her fever stays down.
She seems ok today, but she's snotty and green and hacking up green too. She's also still running a fever. But she's her normal playful self. If she still has a fever tonight, I'll take the day tomorrow and take her to the Dr. My guess is sinus infection

Bleh, that stinks. You would think it would getting nice out and we would be seeing less colds, but it's not the case. V had a leaky face on her birthday too.
