I wish I could have gone this week. A friend talked about getting tickets, but then she dropped the ball. Guess I'll don my Os jersey and watch from the comfort of my living room
This year I am going to find some time to see the paw sox.
I bought my husband tickets to the Paw Sox a couple of years ago for his birthday, and then the day of the game, we couldn't find them, so we didn't go. Womp womp.
I pretty much refuse to go to Fenway. It's expensive and annoying. The last time we went, we sat behind a stupid pole, but still paid full price for the tickets, ($55!) and I swore never again. (Well, unless we get free tickets.) We've actually started going to Manchester for the Fisher Cats games when they play Portland. It's SO MUCH CHEAPER than Fenway, and even with the drive, so much less of a hassle. We've gotten seats 2-3 rows behind home plate for like 12 bucks each. A bargain! And last year, we saw Jackie Bradley Jr. play, so we were totally ahead of the curve.
Yeah the paw sox tickets are like $10 for great seats. And its like a 5 minute drive from my house. Win-win!
Sometimes they even have the good players down there for rehab.
I grew up in RI and when I was little my parents would bring all of my siblings and me to games on bat or ball nights when kids would get free gifts. I loved it!!
Another RI native, I saw the first 12 innings of the historic 33 inning game at McCoy. It was part of a school trip and they made us leave after 12 innings to get home to the parents.
I hear you about the insanity of sports fans. I have a Celtics and Bruins schedule in my office so that I know when North Station will be insane.

I live the rhody natives! I hope we get to move back to the 401 some day. I loved growing up there. What area are you from? I grew up in South County!
