DH had a job interview on Friday in his home state. He got a call this morning and they want to extend an offer and asked him his salary requirements. I think what he's looking for is a little more than they want to pay, but DH said the conversation went well and he should hear back by tomorrow regarding an offer.
I'm so anxious about this. I don't know if I want to move, but sometimes it seems like the best option. I just want to know if they're going to offer him enough. Ugh.
I am so sick of being broke. This month the mortgage is going to be late and I'm finally breaking down and putting groceries on the credit card because we have no proteins, dairy or produce in the house.
On the plus side, I think most of DH's summer classes will be online so we won't have to pay a sitter for two months. I can't wait til he graduates and gets a good job.
This happened to me a couple of times, years ago. Not in a while, though - I guess there have now been too many of them, so they all run together or something. You will just have to avoid eye contact for a while .

Our wedding anniversary is on Wednesday. Both of us are pretty broke this week so not only can we not afford to go out to dinner, but I don't think I can even afford to buy something special from the supermarket.
I did have enough money to buy him a gift, at least. It's a fossilized mollusk. He saw it on a field trip to a local science museum and texted me to see if I'd like it as a decor item in our house:
I really want a new car. Why is being MM so not fun sometimes?
Ha. We think alike. Want my car?
LOL, there's nothing wrong with my car, it's just 11 years old and has 138,000 miles on it. I just want something new and shiny. Unfortunately this is probably one of the best cars anyone in my family has owned, just routine maintenance, no issues.

I feel the same way. Mine is 9 years old and is about to hit 160,000. It works great. I want pretty and new!
I just spent the morning at Augusta National enjoying my 1st trip tothe Master's. It was like Disney for golfers. ;P It was very well manicured, the azaleas are giant right now & a little hot. We broke out the sunscreen today. I'm glad we got to experience it!
I am looking at another house today. It is kind of expensive, but a family lives there currently and is renting it out because they want a bigger house. Fingers crossed it is in decent condition since it's currently occupied by owners!
I filed for divorce today. It was so simple to do, I feel like I'm missing something.
I just logged into LinkedIn a few minutes ago and saw the girl who STBX is "in an undefined relationship with" looked at my profile. I hope she saw how much better than her I am It annoys me that she looked at all actually, I have her blocked on FB so I can't see her liking all of his stuff, I really don't want her showing up on my LinkedIn page but I can't figure out how to block her. I'd rather pretend she doesn't exist.

We're already back home. Had to get back to DS.
Ooo, fun. Part of our honeymoon was spending a day at one of the PGA tour stops. It was so freaking awesome.

This was us for more years than I care to remember ... one thing I used to do when money was tight was just serve dinner in a romantic way (no special food but if we could afford it I'd make DH his favourite dinner but more often than not it would be mac & cheese) - I would set up our outdoor bistro table by the fireplace in the living room covered with a tablecloth and we'd eat by firelight & candlelight. It also helped set the mood for later ...

I am grateful I am wearing an untucked shirt as my pants are too tight and can't button them. I really need to lose these extra lbs that have creeped up on me.
Because of where we live, I am supposed to have a bug-out bag packed at all times.
I still haven't packed it. Maybe I should get that done... There are a couple recommended items I don't have on hand, but the rest would just be a matter of gathering it all together and putting it into a bag.

I only know what a bug-out bag is from watching doomsday prepers. Where you are worst case grab your passport and go!
I wore two completely different shoes to work today and didn't notice until 10am (I get to work at 7am). Seriously, one flat was black and the other was camel. Such a mess.
I saw this on FB and could not bring myself to "like" it, lol. I hope your day got better!

Heh... I figured bug-out bag would make more sense than the "non-combatant evacuation kit" label it officially has. There is a list of items they want us to include in it, and I'll admit that lately I'm getting the urge to make sure it is actually put together. Still don't think I'll need it, but there is no harm in having it.

That sounds very nice
He said yesterday that we might have some wiggle room in the budget to go out for dinner this weekend. If we had the time I'd suggest driving to Philadelphia to this Israeli restaurant I've heard good things about, but that's an all-day trip for us. I had a dream last night that we went there for their ~$50pp tasting menu, but it was terrible and they didn't include most of the promised items, and the bill was somehow $640.
I heard him working on something last night and he said I could get my present early, since he won't have time to do it tomorrow or Wednesday. We don't have a medicine cabinet or anything in our upstairs half bath (I get ready for work up there and he uses the main floor's full bathroom), so he built and installed a shelf so I have space for my makeup and toothbrush and everything. And he bought me a new mirror since my old one is cracked.
(It's not crooked, I just had very little room to take the photo.)

I have NO PLANS this weekend other than a mandatory BS thing I have to do for school. I have no idea what I'm going to do with myself. I will probably just sit on the couch.
You can hang out with me on Saturday. LOL I will also be sitting home. DH is going to a Yankees game.
