Would you rather receive a generic thank you card shortly after the birthday party, or a personalized thank you card with photos, but quite a while after the party? I'd do a poll but I'm on my phone.
Not what you're asking but I'd rather send out a personalized one with a photo.
I think people will be grateful for any sort of thank you card, even if it does arrive a little while after the party. You're busy and I doubt anyone will be upset either way.
Ok, this poll was really important, much more important than actually writing thank you cards, so I got on a computer so I could add the poll. I'm such a dork. There's one TY card I could have written, lol.

As per the recent FFFC, I'm trying to get pictures of Micah with his toys to give as Thank You cards. It goes along with my current pissing contest though. I think you have a few weeks for something like that, but I agree with 2 months probably being too long. Maybe a month is the limit?
What do you mean by generic? As long as it involves a handwritten note, it doesn't matter though personalized is always cute and I go that route every time.
OK, this is really helpful! Thanks! carawestt totally agree, I'd rather send out the photo cards. I'll just feel awkward in the meantime whenever I talk to those people - I'll want to blurt out, I'M GETTING A CARD TO YOU I SWEAR JUST GIVE ME TIME FFS!! And they'll be like, (huh)
@tambcat I'm the same way, thank you cards don't really occur to me til they arrive in the mail. eav2c by generic I just mean, it would be a thank-you card that you buy in packs and I'd write a note in it. I would also write a note in the photo card, but it would have pics of Kai on it, ideally playing with the gift from that person (I use treat.com - THANK YOU to whoever on here told us about it!!).
It wouldn't be MORE than two months, but it might be that long. His party was Mar 24 and I graduate May 19, and I really can't justify spending time on anything until then but the following: 1. School. 2. Hanging out with Kai. 3. Probing.
You gals should check out the app Red Stamp. You can add a photo of LO with the birthday gift into a pre-made card, write a little note, and email/text it to the gift giver. It is seriously the best thing ever! I always through thank you notes away, but would love to get a digital photo/thank you from someone!
I would like thank you cards to diaf. Fucking Patsy tore open her gifts like a crazy, sugar high toddler and I have no idea what is from who. Seriously every time I'd try to open one he'd yell "PRESENTS!!!", snatch it out of my hands and tear it open.
I think your fine. You've got a lot going on. If you're in a pinch you could always order pictures from Walgreens one hour and buy blank cards and glue them onto the front. That's my easy go-to. I looked at treat.com a few weeks back and loved it!!!!!
