This is bumming me out and I knew you would appreciate it.
I went to pick V up at daycare and they stopped me at the door to tell me that she fell and bit her lip and there was an accident report. I went flying back there to go get her. She was fine, but when I picked her up, she started whining and reached for her teacher. She took her from me for a minute and I made a joke about her wanting to stay there. The teacher was encouraging her, saying "go with Mommy. Mommy loves you." I took her and she started crying
Bah. I know it was bound to happen at some point or another, but geez. As I have said before, she doesn't love when I pick her up sometimes, but this time she sooo obviously did not want to be with me. After I licked my wounds, I thought, "I have to tell Ruby!"

I just want to remind you that this isn't true. She wanted to stay and play--but I'm sure playing would have been EVEN BETTER if you were there. These kiddos are toddlers now and never want to stop playing. That doesn't mean they don't want/need mama.
Oh my gosh, this is exactly what I needed to hear!!
I'm sorry that that happened to you too! Unwanted mamas group meets Monday afternoons here, huh?
Fingers cross that V and I don't have another "incident" this week at music. I'll have to come up with a plan to divert her attention quickly and then convince her that she loves me the most, lol. Hopefully it was a one time thing for you guys too.

Edie has done this to me more than one time as I am picking her up from daycare. :-( It stings!! I try to remind myself that I am glad she clearly is loved on while she is there all day and loves the ladies who care for her in return!

This happens with Joshua too. I think he really loves playing with the other kids. but it hurts.
This happened to me the other day. She was strapped into the big stroller and they were going outside to see the cows. She threw an all out drama tantrum when I took her out of the stroller. It sucked.
