Now that it's summer, I want cold cereal for breakfast.
I am sick to death of the Kashi GoLean varieties...I rotate between the plain GoLean, the regular Crunch, and the Honey Almond Flax Crunch. I've been doing this for years and I don't know that I can look at another bowl of it. I like their stuff because it has protein in it and it keeps me full, but I'm also open to putting protein powder in my milk and/or supplementing with a HB egg for protein.
What do you like that's tasty and reasonably healthy?
'Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body. But rather, to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, screaming 'Woohoo! What a ride!' So every day is a holiday and every meal a feast."
I LOVE cereal, as in eat a small bowl almost every night. Honey nut cheerios and Honey bunches of oats are my favorite. I just got the new Apple Cinnamon cheerios this week and love them! Not so healthy ones that I love are Coco pebbles and Cinnamon toast crunch.
Nature Plus Pumpkin Granola with Flaxseed (although it's pretty high calorie, so I eat a half serving with a low-cal cereal like cheerios, or rice crispies), and peanut butter puffins are delicious (I also cut the serving size in half with cheerios).
While I know someone must eat this stuff because it's still on the shelf... all of the "good" cereals on the list taste like cardboard. Plain All Bran. Plain Shredded Wheat. The only way I can get through a bowl of cereal with <5g of sugar per serving is to add way more sugar.
im not a big cereal person at all. but i do like frosted mini wheats and cinnamon cheerios. neihter of which are super healthy, but neither are that bad. but i only buy like one box a year, so im ok with my choices.
in a perfect world peanut butter cap'n crunch would be as healthy as broccoli. sigh.... a girl can dream, right?
Fiber One original + vanilla protein powder + skim milk. Lots of protein and fiber all at once, plus it tastes like the Carnation Instant breakfast I used to eat as a kid.
I don't know how widely available but I eat Uncle Sam's Strawberry Cereal. It is high in fiber and has flax seeds. I usually mix it with greek yogurt for extra protein instead of milk but it is good with milk too.

I agree. I looked at this list and thought, well I might as well eat paper.

Thanks for all the suggestions, guys. I'm taking notes.

I agree totally, but she asked for healthy cereals, so there they are!
I eat a ton of cereal and my personal faves that are non-Kashi are plain cheerios, multi grain cheerios, honey nut cheerios, frosted mini wheats and the cascadian farms version of fruit loops.
