I don't get asked much that I notice, but most people close to me know we will be TTC #3 this summer. I'm pretty open with my personal life I guess. It will be nice to not hear the "are you trying for a ....?" comments. I would preferably have 2 boys and 2 girls, but I'm not sure I have two more pregnancies in me.
We get comments about how nice it is we have one of each. My FIL is insistent that it's better that way and he's positive if DS had been a girl we would have wanted to have a third. Finally, I told him, "We wanted a baby, not a set of genitalia."
I keep getting asked if I am going to "try for a girl" recently.
I'm like, well, chances are it will be another boy. So no, I'm not going to try for a girl.
I'd LIKE a girl, but I'm not going to try for one. Because it implies that I would be disappointed if I had another boy. And that's impossible. I love my children, regardless of their gender.
Yep, it's always the ,"but you NEED a girl" comments that I hate. I just keep saying that I only make boys, lol.
Exactly the same boat here. We always get the "you need a girl!" comment. I just say, nah, I'm fine with 2 boys. and STFU (in my head
I swear that lately EVERYONE is asking me when I'll have a third, it feels excessive to me for some reason. Yesterday I was asked TWICE . I am guessing I am asked more often because I have two boys......stupid society making everyone think that they need a girl in order to feel fullfilled.
I just keep saying, "when I win powerball". I don't know how the F to respond to such a personal question.
It does not help that I'd kinda like a third but we are in no position right now, and my 33 year old eggs are not getting any younger.
Anyone else?
This was my weekend! Word for word including the Powerball and being 33..except I have 2 girls.
Yep, it's always the ,"but you NEED a girl" comments that I hate. I just keep saying that I only make boys, lol.
I haaaaaaate that. I'm always like "actually I'd hope for a third girl, so THERE!"
This us too. We love boys but feel like we were meant to raise girls and I would be fine with three girls. Another perk of being team green was that nobody could make dumb remarks during my pregnancy.
We're kind of the opposite. It's annoying. Since we have one of each people also assume we're done. It's like so many people literally cannot comprehend why we would want more than 1 boy and 1 girl. Plus, MIL and FIL only had two so it seems like they REALLY do not get it. People jokingly ask since ours are so close like "aren't you already late on the 3rd!?!" and when I tell them the 3rd will hopefully be soon they look appalled.
