Is anyone on the mini-pill? I want to talk side effects.

It might be my imagination, but I feel like I've gained some weight and am bloated. I've only been on it a month. And I feel emotionally unstable (well, moreso than usual, lol). Also some boob pain?

I'm not on it really for the BC purposes. I just want to prevent my endometriosis from growing back until we TTC again. Since I've started cycling again and am nursing for the forseeable future, this is my only option. Don't want to do Mirena.

Has anyone else had side effects from the mini pill?

Maybe I should just get off it and TTC (and forget about needing another hip surgery before I get KU again...).

Any hormonal birth control can cause weight gain and emotional instability for a while. For me, it's hard to say if the mini-pill caused weight gain because my weight always goes up and down by a few pounds or more from time to time.

I'm not sure about the boob pain. I've never had that but I think it's possible. When I was on it with DD and first started it this time, I had frequent spotting for a few months, so be prepared for that too. It's particularly more common with the mini-pill than with the regular pill.

I was on it from 6 weeks - 8.5 months. I didn't notice weight gain while on it, that happened when I went off of it. But, that was likely because I stopped pumping at that point. I didn't have sore boobs, either. I was pretty moody though!! I didn't realize it was the pill causing it (I just thought I was a stressed out mom), but once I got back on my regular pill I don't notice the bitchyness (as much, ha).

Oh, right, forgot about the weird spotting I had two weeks in.

I've been on a variety of hormonal BC pills before, but never had any type of weight, bloating, or fluid retention on them.

I've been on it since 6 weeks PP and have never had any side effects. So I'm really no help. I think every woman reacts differently to BC though.

I've been on them for 4 months now. I haven't had any side effects, but I have never had any side effects from any of the various types of hormonal BC that I've been on over the years, so I'm not really going to be much help either.

I was on them before I got pregnant. I gained about 15 pounds and my boobs got bigger like when I was pregnant. It didn't affect my mood though.

I was in it but had to get off it because it makes sex very painful.

I've been on it since about 6 weeks and I really haven't had any side effects other than irregular cycles. Not sure if that is from the pill or not.
