So I think I am already late to the game. DS hates sippy cups. I have tried a variety of them. He will drink it and then spit it out.every.time. When we transitioned from nursing to a bottle he had no problem. He already is one year and I would like to wean him from the bottle. Any suggestions? Thanks!
I recently saw my cousin who is 16 months and he was still using a bottle. My niece is also 16 months and she still uses a bottle. So it is pretty common I would assume.
I'd just keep trying with the straw/sippy. My LO didn't like the straw cup and then one day she started liking and using it. I haven't tried milk in it yet, just water, but I hope she'll take milk from it also.

Okay, that makes me feel better. I graduate school in May so maybe I will just stop trying to push it quite as much until then. I bet if she will drink milk from it if she does water. Thanks!
Yeah, I would continue with the bottle and just keep trying.
J will take water or juice from a straw cup, but she refuses formula and milk from it. I'm going to talk to her doctor about how to proceed regarding the bottles, but I plan to keep offering milk from the straw cup in the hope she'll take it.Not that I can blame her for not like it, especially with dinner - barf.
I should have ask my pedi about that. If you could pass down any advice you get, that would be appreciated!

We will use the bottle for formula (?? Milk if we transition) till at least 15 months, perhaps 18 months and sippy cups for water and juice. This is what I did with my oldest and he is fine, I am more worried about nutrients than bottles. The only thing I do is restrict use as in they are only for mommy's lap or the high chair, if you want to walk around you get a sippy cup of water.
That is unless by some miracle formula is allowed in a sippy cup...
