I usually get Tevas- love the "mush" foot bed, hate how wide the straps are. So I'm looking for something similar. I had one pair of Reefs, which SIL swears by, but she's five feet nothing and wears the platform-ish ones. I need no help in the height department, so I get ones called Uptown Girl (fucking Billy Joel, I shake my fist at you!) and they were tooooo flat.
So name your fave flerp flerps, and bonus points to you if they also made kids versions. Lucy wants matchers with me, lol
4th or 5th Rainbows. And they definitely have kids sizes.
Actually, I wholly recommend heading out to San Clemente and going to the Rainbow factory store. They have filp flops and free popcorn. And, there is a great beach playground a mile down the street. We bought more flip flops than I care to admit last time we were out there.
Which ones do you like? Last year, I actually got a bit of a tan, and I had the mush ones, and the bands of pale skin on my feets made me sad. I also have had the ones with like five strands, I love those, and I love the criss crossed ones.
Also- I like fabric straps- do all havaianas have plasticy straps? No bueno. No me gusta
I live in CA and wear sandals about 90% of the year lol. So I've pretty much tried them all, and love Rainbow the best for everyday/casual wear (I've worn those suckers all day walking around Disneyland). And I like Havaianas for going to the beach.

i have had a few pairs of the mush flip flops and always loved them. i don't really ever tan so even when it happens with the pale strap marks i don't really care. lol.

I love my Tevas. The thick tan lines don't bother me though. I also have a shitton of Old Navy flops, but that's because they're cheap, not because they're awesome.

I was going to recommend the multi-strappied Tevas, but I see that you have already discovered them.
These are rubbery but I've really liked the Gap ones I've had over the years. I don't know why they seem so superior to Old Navy since I"m pretty sure they're made in the same factory, but they just seem more comfortable for some reason.
