Any FB peeps, this is copy+paste job, so you might have seen it already:
Scamp has several small scabby/crusty spots; she has some on her back at the base of her tail, some around her shoulder/neck area, and lots of little red rash-like spots on her belly.
I set up her annual check-up for tomorrow, so we'll get her skin looked at then, too. H's Google-ing points toward allergies, which has me stumped since she's always been indoor only and no food or anything has changed.
I already flea-combed her last night, just in case, but only came up with some crusty bits that the comb scraped off. Also, there is NO associated hair loss; her fur is so thick it made it really hard for us to get any sort of visualization of these spots!!

I can only think of allergies. I bought friskies Grillin sensations last year for Cali. I didn't notice anything at first. She started licking the same spot on her back. I picked her up and she had licked herself raw. She didn't lick anywhere else just there. I took the food back and got her something else. She stopped licking and it started to heal.
I would call the company and see if they could have changed something in the food. Other than that I am not much help sorry =(
My kitty had that for years, although it came and went. No vet could figure it out but they tried some different meds. no diet changes or other allergens I could pin-point. One day, they went away and never came back. That was probably 5 years ago or so. Actually, probably more like 7 or 8 now that I think about it.
I never figured it out. Please let me know if you do. Good luck!
