A nearby Habitat ReStore posted this on their Facebook account yesterday and I'm toying with the idea of buying it. It's only $65!
It's 91" long, 22-25" wide, and 37" wide between the bowls...so it's pretty big. I wouldn't use it as a vanity I'd have it cut down and just use the center to either top a dresser or use as coffee table top and have DH make a metal base for it eventually. I know the cost of labor to have it cut will be a lot but with only $65 in materials it would be worth it right? I know the marble remnants our slab place has are way more than that for the material.

It seems like a hassle to me. Know it's a great deal, but getting it home, storing it, finding something to do with it, getting someone to cut it....not my cup of tea. If you have the means, go for it and ignore me. I try not to buy things just because its a great deal. My mom does that and our house was always full of random crap. I am a negative nancy.

Actually, I've been actively getting quotes on marble remnants for the dresser tops in the WIC. We're going to have a hot iron in there so I thought it would be great to have a top on the plywood but it was also bit of a pipe dream I didn't think we'd actually spend the money on them. So this might just make that dream happen! I just need two that are somewhat similar and this would only cover one but I think I can find a remnant that is close enough. The dressers aren't built yet but we're going to be working on them as soon as the rest of the remodel is done.
That's probably what we'd use it for but if we didn't the coffee table wouldn't be happening anytime soon. I would have the top cut down to size and store it until then if we went that route though. A 36" length is a lot easier to store than a 91" length.
Oh heck yeah. And I'd probably see about the ends as well, they would be awesome small shelves. And the backsplash pieces would make great window sills. As a kid, lots of the government quarters we lived in had marble windowsills.
Oh good ideas! I didn't have plans for the little pieces but those are some good ones.
When I visited our local ReStore, the cost of labor to have it cut was not bad at all. They have a listed company who would do it for a discount. And it seemed like the company would take care of getting the countertop from the store and they'll deliver the finished product.

Heck ya I would buy that! There's SO many ways you could use it. Personally I would use it as is b/c we have a vanity that size in the upstairs bath. I am SOOOO jealous!
