As of right now....nothing! I do have to return a pair of pants to the Gap, but that's the only thing. I do want to hit up the local ice cream hang out even if it's 40 degrees out. They opened up for the season almost 2 weeks ago and I still haven't been yet this year.
Our neighborhood is having an Earth Day clean up and cookout so I will take the boys to that. It is turkey hunting season so DH will be gone all day Saturday hunting. We have a birthday party Saturday evening.
The contractor is coming to start the electrical in the kitchen and to hopefully put up the new drywall. I miss having walls. We might also be driving an hour and 20 minutes to check out some granite. It's going to be D&R to the extreme.

I have no idea what we're doing tomorrow. Sunday am I have a 5k I'm considering. I was *planning* it, but I've been stress-eating the last couple days and I'm worried the run will suck. We'll see.
Tonight hanging out with Rubes, general house stuff, laundry. Tomorrow, Lots of playtime with child. Hs family is rolling in for a late Easter so lots of hanging out with them. Sunday dinner with Hs family. And thanks to the fact we finally have decent help, H isn't stuck working most of it for a change...which is AWESOME!
I just finished the last day of our trade show in Vegas, tonight a coworker and I are going out with my brother in law. The plans right now are to go to an indoor skydiving place and then an ice bar. Flight leaves at 0630 tomorrow morning so we probably won't sleep.
I am recovering from a surgery, so I'll be a foreman directing my husband as he plants the new shrubs and plants we got for the front yard. We also have an engineer coming to check out some cracks in the walls to make sure they are nothing to be concerned about (fingers crossed). And we are finishing our taxes. I think we'll owe an insane amount of money. ug.

Farmer's Market opens this weekend and then, H and I are dropping the kiddos off with their grandparents and we are road tripping it to Wichita. Yes, big city!! For real, we're escaping and going away somewhere out of our comfort zone for the night because our anniversary is Monday and I am on the verge of a nervous breakdown.

This morning we took Roxie to the vet to get some treatment for her seasonal allergies, poor thing. Then we rewarded her with a trip to the local dog bakery to get a treat.
Today H is working and I have a crap ton of papers to grade Tomorrow if the weather is nice we want to complete some yard work and take Rox for a long walk.
we're debating getting off the couch and yard sale-ing right now. it's overcast and rain is forecasted... i like shopping on days like today because people make deals early to clear as much as possible before they are forced to close up shop. but i'm also feeling lazy. so...
bff asked if we could make a kids table for her son so h and i will take a crack at that today or tomorrow.
i should probably clean. i say that every weekend, but time slips away. with both of us working full time and having a busy life outside work, things aren't doing so well on the home front. i used to be the queen of clean and organized, but that was when i was home full time.
I just finished cleaning up and am now heading out to food shop. We are celebrating my dad's birthday here tonight.
Tomorrow I hope to start packing for vacation. We leave on 27th but next weekend we have plans all weekend so I don't want to be rushed to pack. I'm hoping to get outside and do a bit more yard work too.

I was just complaining about this to H. I used to be so clean and on top of things, but life just keeps getting more complicated to keep up with. Our house is never up to the standards I had before we got married.

Oh well, I'll be cleaning this weekend as usual.
my best answer to the issue is DECLUTTER! the less we have, the easier it is to keep up. we don't have a lot to begin with, but im still constantly pushing things out the door. we dropped off a trunk full this morning and i'm already feeling better. since i actually have a decent amount of time to work today i'm heading back for round two this afternoon. i'm really hoping that i can keep things neater throughout the week if i can get a good deep cleaning in once a month or so.
i'm just happy it is a weekend my DH doesn't have to work. we did make a run to target today and were able to find a small side table to work next to the rocker/recliner we purchased for our room. rocker was a need for the first 3 months after our daughter is born that she will be in our room with us in a bassinet. the table will be good to set bottles (if i am successful at nursing, then these will be pumping bottles), burp cloths, etc. on. i was happy to find a decent deal in a cute style.
we were able to get DS the new shoes (2 pairs) he was extremely overdue in needing (has been wearing tennis shoes w/his toes at the end for over a week now). he is terrible about trying on new shoes, but also has been fussing when we tried to put the old shoes on. hopefully we will be normal about any of them now.
yeah heygrey you are my decluttering inspiration. we are getting pretty good about regular clutter, but all of our home improvements call for a lot of tools and they are always strewn around it seems.
I should probably really work on project and tool organization instead of trying to ignore it...Sunday project for me perhaps.
pitter, i actually just did the same thing. h and i are getting quite the wood working hobby and it comes with a crap load of things. and we live in a basement, no garage or outdoor storage space, so i'm literally hauling a miter saw through my living room out to the deck every time i want to cut a board. i rearranged a bunch of the shelving in our storage rooms and now we have a whole section of storage that is just for tools. i already had some tool bags, but i pulled everything out of them and organized by frequency of use. so my smallest bag has all the essentials that i need almost everyday - tape measure, small level, a couple pairs of pliers, a multi-bit screw driver, small hammer, pencil, etc. the other bags have the less used, but still needed things like a wrench set and various screwdrivers. then i have a container for all of the nuts and bolts and odds things of that nature and another container for things like shelf brackets that we bought for a project, didn't use, but don't want to return them. and a whole shelf for paint... after i got rid of several cans that we no longer need. the paint was sort of taking over before i culled that collection.
we've had this set up for about three weeks and so far it's working well. we know where to find things, but more importantly, we know where to put them back!
Today we went to Pottery Barn Kids and bought our grand daughter a doll she goes crazy over every time we are there. Her 1st birthday is not until June....I am so glad we went, we got the last one. I spent this after noon cleaning out my wic...I got rid of so much and put away the new clothes I bought last summer that I can no longer fit in. . I must get motivated to get some of this weight off. Tomorrow I hope to work outside, if it ever warms up.
Well, my weekend has felt pretty nonexistent. On Friday, I was at school until 8pm because it was our Student Council's dodgeball tournament fundraiser. It was a BLAST! I'm so proud of my students for hosting such an awesome event, and raising about $300 for the local humane society. *Gush* those kids rock my world sometimes.
On Saturday I was back at school all day to moderate for a Scholastic Bowl tournament. Then, DH and I grabbed some dinner and went to see The Evil Dead, which was pretty awesome if you like gory movies and whatnot.
Today, I'm going grocery shopping, working out, and grading all day long. Then, I think that we are going out with the in-laws for my sister-in-law's birthday.
