Backstory: I have a hard time buying jeans. I'm short and petite. I'm just normal thin but also have an athletic shape. I've also had 2 kids. As a result the misses sizing in jeans leaves me in between a size so one is too big, one is too tight. Juniors sizing where the numbers are odd, fit in the waist if I can get them over my hips and without muffin top..lol. Also, I really have to dig to find a rise that doesn't show off all of me every time I bend over ha.
I was wearing AE for years, but there's so much stretch in them all of a sudden they're falling off by the end of the day. I also love CK but am not shelling out that kind of money right now for a lot of reaosns.
Anyways, I was in Target on Monday night and looked at the Mossimo jeans. I really like how it's set up with fit numbers so I can see the waist and things without trying a 100 pair on. I grabbed the pairs in fit and 3 and 4 which was bootcut and sits right at waist.
I've worn them a couple times this week so far and I'm in love. There's barely any stretch to them so they're not falling off me, the waist is actually "right" so I'm not mom jean-ing it but I can still bend over just fine. The sizing is actually pretty accurate which is nice.
And they're like $27.00 which is heavenly. I can't attest to the quality yet as I've only washed them once, but they seem to be decent. I mean the stitching is pretty plain and there's not a lot of detail but I prefer that. I'd look ridiculous in bling-y jeans on casual Friday and on barn tours. I go nowhere that requires premium denim especially in the summer when we're outside all the time anyways.
So in case you care, I thought I'd share. And sorry this story got so long. I'm just excited and Toddler is playing on her own for a change, so I don't want to get up lest she see me and I disrupt her universe.

I need to try these out - I have a couple of pairs of Mossimo dress pants that I got in 2007 that still look great and I love the way they fit, and I could use some jeans that are like that. I did notice the new fit numbering system when I was there a few weeks ago, so I'll have to check it out! Thanks for the recommendation.

Glad you found jeans. I hate jean shopping and as a result I have like two pairs of jeans. I have a barely worn pair of boyfriend jeans from a couple years ago what size do you need? They are long length but you could alter them.

Good for you! Pants of any kind are THE. HARDEST. My legs are very thick, so I have to wear something with a wide leg. Usually, when the legs fit, the waist is ENORMOUS... like at least two sizes too big. Plus, I am short waisted. Low rise jeans sit at my navel. I hate shopping for pants!

Yep, these are my SAHM jeans. I have nicer $$$ jeans that I wear when I go out, but for daily life at home, I wear these. I have several pairs, and they've held up much, much better than mall brands priced 2-3x more.

This is good to know! They didn't seem like bad quality at all/at least not any worse than what I already own. Yeah, I have some Buckle Big Stars I adore for going out..but the damn things are like $110.00. I don't love them that much for daily traipsing around.
Thanks for posting this! I desperately need a new pair of jeans and have not tried that brand. I am 5'7" so taller than I am guessing you are but sound like we are built the same otherwise.
I made this discovery a few years ago and was about as excited as you too. Also after letting me down with weird fits and fabric for a few years, I just got a pair of skinnies at GAP that I love.
Thanks for the PSA! I'll check them out next time I'm there. I'm working on losing weight and don't want to pay $$$ for jeans that might fit a year or less.
But if I'm being totally honest, when I get to my goal weight it's a pair of Sevens for me baby!!

Another target jean lover here! I had a pair I wore holes in I loved them so much. I used to like old navy or gap, but they have too much stretch. They are falling off me by the end of the day.

I can't wear them. I used to buy Target jeans all the time and loved them but since they switched over to this different fits business none of them fit me properly and it makes me sad.
