I could see it working if you were to alter it to a reasonable length, and maybe do something with the armholes (they look too small or something), and maybe lower the neckline a bit. Especially with a cute belt.
Yup! Who would pay more than $1.49 for this! Its my good deed of the day. God bless St. Vincent de Paul. LOL! I went to donate some things and came back with this for pure entertainment!
Make a pencil skirt out of it! Do you sew at all? $1.49 is a great price....but please don't ever wear that dress out in public. lol I would hate to see it on OOTD.

I have a sewing machine and thought about turning it into a pencil skirt too! But I am not sure that can save this piece. I think it will still remain ugly even as a pencil skirt. But it will sure be learning experience. I am willing to chop it for the fun of it.
So, I pin tucked the dress short. I don't think its flatterring for my figure at all! My chest is too busty for this style. Maybe someone much skinnier could rock the dress??
I was wrong. It's still fugly. If you like sewing projects, maybe make it into a kitchen apron? Or maybe dish towels
LMAO birkbop! Well, I am done torturing yall. I can't think of recycling it into anything useful except maybe dish towels for the duggers. Oh wait I think they will like it as it is.
Whoa! So it was a landslide of hatred for this dress on this board! But I shared it on my local board and some of them also loved it like I did and said would definitely wear the shorter version in public. But would wear nude pumps and neutral purse with it. Thoughts anyone?
hmmm... it sounds like wherever you live has poor fashion sense
I guess I will fit right in! When in Rome... I should invite those ladies for a unicorn party with glitters and all!
haha! I was just being silly -- to each their own. I have to confess I actually had bought a similar dress a few months ago and after Pixy posted it and everyone was like "ewww wtf?!" i returned it....
Which dress was it? Is it still available for sale? I might be interested. I seem to like ugly a/c the board here. LOL!
IDK.. I still like it and I think I am ballsy enough to wear it in public after alterations. Bright colors are in so maybe I can get away with for now till the trend dies out and we are back to boring neutrals. Gotta live in the moment ya know? Maybe the neutrals will work with the dress cuz there is so much color on the dress to begin with. Remember everything that exists is because they were once considered fashionable. Like mom jeans.
I also think there is no hard and fast rule in fashion. At least this dress is way simpler than the orange and beige dress from modcloth that I liked few weeks ago which no one liked here.
