Several people posted that they had done laser hair removal in the lady bits hair thread.
I saw this on groupon today and was thinking about going for it: $149 for six sessions for a "small" area (could be chin OR lip) or $279 for upper lip & chin
I kind of want it for my chin and upper lip. Is this a good deal?

what area do you live in? i live in the tampa area in florida and got a six session deal (my upper lip) for $99 for six sessions. and $170 for my underarms.
I did a groupon for laser hair removal, but I did know already what type of laser I needed for them to work on me because I have dark skin. You can google and read up on it. You can also call the spa before you buy the groupon and talk to them to decide if they sound good or not. I would not do laser hair removal without a groupon, the deal I got was amazing (I think it was $240 for 6 treatments for chin/neck). But as PP said, it doesn't work on light hair and works best on dark hair and light skin.
I wouldn't go with the Groupon option. Personally, I go to a reputable medispa in town. I've never seen them on Groupon with specials. I generally think those places are very very shady. Remember, with laser hair removal, you get what you pay for. My package for my underarms and bikini area could be considered pricey by most (it was about $130 a month for 18 months I think), but that included everything. All the office visits (each area was treated 9x, and if after the 9, you still need touchups, that included the touchups as well). It's been SO worth it.
Huh, maybe I got lucky then! But there are groupons in the Boston area ALL the time. It would be hard to pay full price when you can routinely get it for half.
I live in RI, but New Bedford is in Mass and about 20 minutes away. The place doesn't have any reviews on yelp at all - I guess that is a little scary.
I am very fair, and I have a few dark hairs at the end of my upper lip and on my chin. I was getting electrolysis, but it felt like I kept going back every month and the hairs were still coming! So I was hoping laser might be easier/faster (and maybe more painful? idk). But I also have several longish white hairs that sprout up there, too.
