I know people will say I'm too picky, but I find it hard to get jump-up-and-down excited about limited edition, online sale only, [ugly] teeshirts after that stunt. I don't boycott Target anymore and I actually really like them (more than JC Penny for shopping) but I prefer JC Penny's approach by far. It's much more integrated into the brand and seems less over the top and self-congratulatory to me.
I'm going to start just making random thread titles and posting completely different shit inside just to see who is actually reading the content.
you know, when I'm in the proboards app, clicking on the link closes the app and goes to safari. When I'm done and head back to the app, it's reset itself and I have to start all over. Very annoying, so I don't click on links unless they seem really interesting.
Oh yeah, I got the supporting anti-gay candidates thing. I boycott Chik-Fil-a (mostly because it's easy, there aren't many around here). Were you trying to get us talking about Target and their donations? I thought that was from two years ago? Not that it makes it right.
Edit: damn! I hate the app sometimes. I thought both kinks were the same. I see what you're saying now. They suck trying to make money off a cause they don't really support.
No, more I was talking about the random shithole the average american comments section is. There are a ton of "christian" sites out there bashing target, including calling for boycotts. Frankly, even if I was still boycotting them, I think this would make me change my mind.

Well damnit! Now I want to buy one to tell those shits to stuff it.
Target had benefits for same sex partners when I started working for them in 2000--I was pleasantly shocked. The candidate they gave money to was pro-business/anti-union if I remember correctly, hence the reason they supported him. It is ridiculous to me that $150K counts more than the years and years of support for gay team members and their partners.
I didn't click on the link, so if what I'm saying is irrelevant, then let me say that I'm not a big fan of Target towels.

This. Target actually overall has a really good record of being good to LGBT employees and supporting the LGBT community. The donation they made was actually to a pro-business PAC, which in turn supported several candidates including one with repulsive views on gay people. But I think it's ridiculous to let this one silly action outweigh everything else.
