Yeah, I thought about trying to get to the grocery store, but I don't wanna leave. And now the helicopter is back, and it sounds like it's flying lower. H and I are sleeping in shifts tonight, I swear to god.

I swear to god, students truly do think they're indestructible. As the day progressed more and more people were out and the vast majority were students. I am not looking forward to this weekend.
Oh I do have a funny side story. As we were walking to the rec center this morning (only 2 blocks away, I swear!) a guy in a street roller, those things that flatten the blacktop that's freshly laid, stopped to ask people in front of the Neighborhood Restaurant for directions to Market Basket. He was headed there! In his 5mph street roller! Construction, emergency, police, and street sweepers were the only ones out this morning.
I am stuck at work (too much to do - not actually stranded) but live streaming the news. anyone else? This poor CBS reporter is too close to the action, terrified, out of breath and with a cell battery about to crap out on him.
The homeowner actually looked in the boat and saw the suspect there?! Holy crap, I thought he just called the police after seeing the blood on the outside of the boat. I wonder how fast he ran back into his house to call 911!
All DH said was, "He'll be throwing out a first pitch"

If I saw blood on my boat I would be hauling ass inside not taking a peek! Brave guy thank god he noticed!

I just texted my faculty chair to say that we need to throw money at WPD Chief to come to our program. God bless WPD and all the officers involved. I have many friends who are police officers in Western MA, and I am more thankful than ever for them.
