They aren't cute and pricey. The only thing I saw from a catalog that I liked was a storage thing but it was like $50. No thanks. I dont need my junk caddy to have a monogram on it.
I found one thing I LOVE when one of Makayla's teachers sold a few weeks ago.
Now my coworker is selling...and I can't get excited about anything. It all looks so craptastic. I suppose I could just buy another Fold N' File for work...but DANG. That's expensive.

I have a couple of coworkers who sell thirty-one bags. I bought a few things last year when one of them first started - I got a small caddy to keep all of my hair products and brushes together in the bathroom, a small tote that I use for food - I like it because it has plenty of room for my millions of pounds of food I take to work each day and can fit bigger tupperware containers, and I have another small tote that I keep in the back seat of my car to hold umbrellas and CDs and stuff. I like the stuff, the colors I have are cute, but I doubt I'll be buying anymore - it's kinda expensive.
I like them a lot. I have a few bags and they are all something i use on a regular basis, for work, swim lessons, weekend trips, etc... And I have the chevron print, which DH hates but I love. I guess I don't think it is that pricey, because they are very good quality. The Vera Bradley love is something I don't understand. ::shrugs:: at least I know I am in good company since fields agrees with me. Of course, lol.
I just checked out the website...this is the description for the cindy tote:
Stylish and roomy, our signature item can hold almost anything! Carry other totes or bags, a jewelry case, laptop, or just use it as a stand-alone purse. Even makes a very fashionable diaper bag!
I don't think I realized they are a Christian company. Hmm.
Oh yes. 31 refers to Proverbs 31. It allows you to stay home like a good wife but still participate in multi-level marketing to supplement family income!

I have the lunch bag, big makeup bag that's plastic lined and smaller cosmetic bag and I don't like the lunch tote thing but like the other 2 a lot. I picke the grey and yellow and white flowery pattern and don't think it's too ugly.
I don't think they're super attractive- but the items I have show absolutely 0 wear at all, they're holding up so well, so at least there's that.

Yeah, that is true. The organizing utility one I carry to work has white on it and I just toss it on the floor at work, in my car, and it looks brand new. All of the nurses I work with have these, and most have had theirs for years.

And now it clicks: the lady who was recently hosting one of these parties (oops I forgot to RSVP) is SUPER Christian... SUPER
My mom keeps buying me these bags. I have one from christmas that is the most akward shaped tot that I have no idea how to carry it...it's like a giant basket. I use it to store hair stuff in the bathroom. I also have an over the shoulder bag with my intial on it *shudder*.

Huh, my friend is Jewish. I wonder if she knows this (huh)
They're all over the place here and I hate them. My mo bought me a lunch sack and it fell apart. Then my sister bought me another one (sort of, because she was selling them) and it's now falling apart
I've been given two pieces. One is just a small tote and the other is a rolling insulated cooler. I LOVE the cooler. I have a home daycare and it's a lifesaver when we go on field trips or to the park for a picnic. I wouldn't buy them because they are pricey, but I've been happy with the ones I've received.
I have one of the lunch totes and it has held up well for over 3 years. I got DD one of the backpacks and it is good for a day at the pool. But I don't like the majority of their patterns. I do like their totes for the trunk of the car since they seem to hold shape well.

This. I have a friend who sells it. To support her, I bought two lunch bags and both bags fell apart.
Before they fell apart they didn't keep anything especially cool, even with an ice pack.

I had to resurrect this because guess who just got not one but two 31 bags for her birthday present. A friend of mine got me a few smaller totes/travel bags and they are pretty hideous but I had to graciously smile through it She even personalized it with my name ha!
Now she's trying to get everyone to like her 31 Facebook page and have a party...thanks but no thanks. Give me a pure romance or even a candle party over this any day!
I've had two friends rope me in to a conversation saying "look, isn't this cute? I just bought it!" And I'm like "oh...yeah! Cute!" Oh, here's the catalog, YOU CAN HAVE ONE TOO. Then invites and emails start. Fuck.
I'm NOT buying one, though. I've been sooo good about spending money the last year. I refuse to buy one. I think they are ugly.
For some reason, there were some genuine Thirty-One bags for sale for $3 (instead of $30) in Dollarama this summer. I bought a couple but I can't even imagine spending $30 on them. Really cheap feeling.
Oh also, I know a bunch of people who sell 31. The most recent person asked me to host a party and I point-blank told her that my friends aren't into it and never buy that stuff so I'd rather not. Then my SIL happened to be at one of her parties and my acquaintance/consultant was like, "Oh you don't want to throw a party either? What if you and Snazzy hosted one together??" AND MY SIL SAID OK. After I had already told her about my past exchange. The raaaage.
This is when you pull the "I already said no. Sorry, you'll have to host it alone." and refuse to discuss any further. You are not responsible for something your SIL promised on your behalf without consulting you.
I don't like them at all and the Vera Bradley stuff is just ugly, IMO. A lot of my FB friends rave about getting VB for a bday or anniversary gift and I just think it looks like something an old lady might carry.
I'm tired of getting hounded for this stuff. I have a neighbor who sells Rodan and Fields and she will not leave me alone. "Come to my party! I have products that can help you with your loss of firmness and acne!"
No. Eff you. No.
I will admit to liking Scentsy and Tastefully Simple. I have my reps that I'll buy from, and I love them because they leave me alone. They don't flood my FB with crap. They don't invite me to parties or pressure me to host. I can be all "Hey, I need some Onion Onion" and then its at my door in three days and I don't have to deal with a sale pitch.
