I can't wait to get our vegetable garden going. I am dying for a real tomato.
We're re-staining our deck this weekend so we should be able to put out our furniture the next weekend. I can't wait for warm evenings when we can sit out there again.
We've been making an effort to take our dog for a long walk each weekend evening. I think she's getting spoiled! Now she won't go for a quick walk with just one of us in the afternoon when we're both home. She will stand in the front yard waiting until we are both going.
RockNVoll, what a crappy year you've had with your knee. I hope you're able to get back to 100% soon.
We had looked into the community boating as well, it seems like a good deal and we could get a lot out of it.
I am excited for our trip to the vineyard the first week of July. I can't wait to just RELAX.
I am also looking forward to putting our CT house back on the market in July. It's a pain in the ass to own and the market is doing much better in that area and looking at comps I think we can sell and actually walk away with $ instead of being under water, yay! It will be a pain to sell but its a drain on our finances and will be AMAZING to unload it.
We're putting in the garden sometime after we get back from Tahoe. DD is getting her own garden to grow cantaloupes, and a (big) pot to grow carrots.
Still tossing around the idea of paying to join the Y's outdoor pool this year. I think it would be worth it.
We're doing a sorta whirlwind trip to PA in June that I always look forward to. And I'm taking DD to see my parents in July. A week + in Monterey...ahh...
Oh, and DH is job hunting. Which may blow our whole schedule. Or not.
Jealous you have fruit and berries. Those are in the plans for the next week or so. The Boston Globe Mag just had an article about what fruits work well here, so I'm going to be somewhat selective in my shopping.
preppy good luck with selling your house! I know inventory is super low around here and things are going fast. I hope the same happens for you.
Now I'm looking into blueberry bushes... we are tearing out some ugly bushes in our back yard later this year and I'd love to replace them with something that bears fruit. I don't know if we get enough sun in that part of the yard but it might be worth a shot. The soil is definitely acidic enough. Hmm...
scm1011, I kill plants, too. My H is mostly in charge of the garden setup and maintenance. He put our sprinklers on timers so we don't forget to water it, either. I am good at picking ripe fruit and pulling the suckers off the tomato plants. And taking pretty pictures of the flowers.
