I need something for under the highchair. I've heard SugarBooger is good, but I'm not sure I'm loving their designs with our kitchen decor. Which one do you have?
Up to you! But as I was scraping yogurt up from between the hardwood boards this morning, I decided it's time for a mat!
Ahhh, yes. Easy solution: invest in a dog.
Our dog is fucking picky and won't eat everything he drops. She will, however, take everything over to the carpet and chew it up to decide if she likes it or not. We have tile floors, so it's no big deal, but yes, there have been times when I have put newspaper under his chair. Or an old tablecloth. Rice is so damn hard to pick up!

We have carpet in the dining room. I've washed this in the washer. Yes, it's starting to roll on the edges after 6+ months, but it saved my carpet. I pick up the mess, and dump it in the trash. I use a Clorox wipe for anything wet.
I was thinking of getting one but isn't it just another thing to clean? I think I'd rather just clean the floor... am I crazy?

Ditto. I used to think it was pointless until I experienced the horror of our floors at this new place and I want one of these now too... I love this one (the dia de los muertes one). My friend has it and it is awesome and cute! Pricey though for a piece of plastic...

Check the dimensions on whichever one you choose. Some of them fit just under a standard high chair, and I don't know about your kid, but mine doesn't "drop" food. He throws/flings it. So having the mat fit well outside the standard perimeter was pretty important for us. Exhibit A: The cream of wheat bowl thrown across the room. (Clearly an old photo.)
