I'm jointly hosting a birthday part for DS on Saturday at the Children's Museum. The party runs from 10 a.m. to noon and will be 10 two-year-olds and about 15 parents. The other birthday mom is bringing drinks and cupcakes; I'm supposed to provide snacks. I'm thinking just a fruit tray and a veggie tray, with some greek yogurt ranch dip and perhaps also some fruit dip.
How much food do I buy for a morning snack for this many people?
My sister did an appetizers only wedding. Her venue recommended 6 pieces (total) per guest for a non meal time event. For 25 guests, you would want 150 pieces. How many pieces are on your fruit and veggie trays?
I'd get like a pound of broccoli florets, a pound of baby carrots, a pound of sugar snap peas(or something like that) and hummus(kids love hummus) as well as the yogurt dip. I'd also chop up some WW pitas to dip as well. IDK about dips for fruit, but a pound of apple wedges, a ton of bananas maybe some melon should do it.
eta: And some cheeses to choose from - string cheese, slices of jack or cheddar etc.
