How much are these in your area? I contacted the My Gym near us and it's $100 a month. Is this normal? I know that's $25 a week if you go each week, but it just seems a little high?

That's what we pay. Ours lets us go unlimited times a week though. I don't think that's normal . . . . just something we get to do. So for two classes a week plus unlimited free plays, it's a good deal for us.
I just looked into it a few days ago and it was a bit more than that, but I think that's to be expected in the city. I prefer places with drop in classes so I don't feel like I'm losing money if I don't go.
The schedule doesn't work for us to take advantage of it but our neighbors own a franchise of it and are always telling us to stop by. Wonder what they would charge us?

With H, about 2 years ago it was about $22 a class which included a free time session during the week. I preferred My Gym both in terms of their facilities, classes, and instructors. My Gym also offered a one time family membership fee so now if I take D I don't need to pay any excess start up fees. The Little Gym had an annual fee but we just did a Grupon through them.

Our My Gym lets you do two free trial classes to see if you like it. We did a free class at Little Gym and weren't really feeling it. After one class at My Gym, we were hooked.
I just went to Little Gym for a birthday party and wasn't impressed! I need to see if there is a my gym though! I know they are opening some other type of play facility near me (named after the owners kids).

I go to something called "monkeydoodles", on Saturdays. It was 120 bucks for 6 sessions within a ten week time frame. So around the same price. WE only went to one class so far.

I think the thing you need to remember about any classes for kids is that you get what you pay for. At The Little Gym in Twinsburg, Ohio, all of the instructors are professional, college-educated, and have extensive backgrounds in cheerleading, gymnastics, and/or sports. Plus, they are all very positive, the kids love them, and they teach wonderful classes. This summer, we are offering 11 classes for the price of 9 @ $171. Plus, if you can't make it to class, you can schedule a make up. So, don't base your decision solely on price -- check out different programs. Franchises such as The Little Gym are not the same at every location because each one is made up of different instructors and owners.
