Don't worry about the baby measuring ahead of schedule, even by a lot. My doctor said that's totally normal and it doesn't mean the baby will be Andre the Giant at birth.

Yay! I think it will be SO fun to deliver and find out the sex when he/she comes!! We found out for this one but I told my husband that if we have a 2nd we're not finding out.

Glad everything looked good.
And ditto velar - my son was measuring ahead and, according to the ultrasounds I had at 28 and 32 weeks (for placenta previa), was on track to be a 9 lb baby. Which is generally the sort of baby my family has (the smallest was 8 1/2 lbs, the largest 11 1/2 lbs), so I was preparing for the worst.
Don't worry about measuring ahead. Especially for birth. In the end, baby could be measuring ahead for length but may have a small head. And a small head I'll take any day! I too was freaked out about baby birth weight cos there are a number of 10lb babies in our family. N was a "petite" 7lb10oz, though was 21inches long... (and she's still tall for her age)
My kid was measuring exactly on track all the way through the 17 week elective u/s I had, and then at the 20-ish week a/s, all of a sudden he was a WEEK AHEAD. Scared.
I've heard those measurements have a pretty generous margin of error. Happy thoughts!
