We are still in early planning mode, but that won't stop me from having the occasional all-out wedding dress internet manhunt. I keep changing my mind about which styles I like. These are a couple front runners so far. We are planning an outdoor wedding with the ceremony and reception on the same site. I want something unfussy and classically modern (does that exist?) And I guess I'm kinda in denial that this will all be happening hopefully in...17 months! I got time, right?

Love both but think I like the lace dress a bit more. Both venues seem gorgeous, is there a price difference in their packages? I really love barn weddings!
Yeah, I change my mind a lot. I don't plan on buying for a while, I also wanna lose some weight before I try any on!
The barn wedding is more expensive, but we could have the option of just doing the one day. At the B&B we could swing the whole weekend package. At first I was sold on the Barn, buuuut then I saw an old friend of mine got married at the B&B and it was stunning, and really representative of our style.
If the wedding isn't for 17 months I wouldn't buy a dress yet. Maybe it's just my personality, but I'd change my mind 100 times before then!
I agree with this. Focus on your venue first. Your location might drive the style of gown you select. Try lots of gowns, all different styles! Sometimes it is the dress you least expect that ends up a favorite!
I'm pretty sure the B&B is going to win. We've already viewed the grounds at kaaterskill, and did love it, but I really love the idea of having the weekend. I can not wait to try on some dresses. All this talk about The Suit and thinking about the wedding has me raring to get my ass in high gear and start toning up. You sound just like me Cream...my head is spinning I love all the wedding things! Next stop Pinterest!
The Lela Rose one is somewhat similar to mine, so obviously I love it! But I think the same style can look great or not great on different people - you can't really tell from seeing what a knockout size 0 model looks like in it. So obviously when the time comes to decide we're going to need a lot of PIPs. (this may require some undercover camera work, since a lot of places won't let you photograph yourself in their dresses).
Well hopefully I will be a size 0 model by then!! No no that's not gonna happen... I love that dress too, and the shape is something that I know would fit on my figure and flatter me. It's the silhouette that I'm drawn to, with the shoulder details and the low back. The jcrew dress is a little straight up and down. See what I haven't disclosed here yet is that this is my 2nd engagement and I've already tried on a few dresses in my day so I do have an idea of what certain styles look and feel like on me. I'm hoping we can get a chance to view the b&b soon because the more I think about it, the more it seems like its just "right".
