And he's migrated to climbing the coffee table which is in that position specifically to prevent him from getting to that corner of the room

Yes! I feel like I constantly have to be under him! We've been practicing "feet first" using his Anywhere Chair and the low slide at the playground. That, and the bruise he got from flinging himself head first into a toy off his chair, seems to help a little.

Ari tries to climber but is still too scared to get up on the couch. I'm hoping he stays scared for awhile!

I've got a climber too. He climbed from my bed onto the bedside table a couple weeks ago. He climbs on top of his leap frog learning table. It's pretty funny. He just mastered flipping to his tummy and scooting backward off the couch. I'm thankful for that development because now I don't worry so much about him pitching himself over the edge.
