Omg, you'd think I was trying to kill him with that damn aerochamber and mask.
Owen's had a cough for over a month now, so they're putting him on Flovent to treat it.
However, I'm having a hell of a time trying to give it to him. I don't want to force it because I know that will only make him hate it more, but he needs it.
Any tips? Just struggle through it twice a day for the week?
With DD, we used her favorite toy and put it over its face first. We practiced taking turns and taking breaths. Of course, she was a bit older than one, but it helped a lot.
For DS, we get him giggling and I try to make sure he's focused on me so he doesn't pay as much attention. He still wiggles, but it's a little easier. Sometimes I give him a third puff because he won't sit still for the whole ten breaths.
we've had to use it since January and it's a pain. He does one of two things- holds his breath or screams. I think he actually takes more in as he screams so I just let him. Lately he hasn't cared as much though so he must be getting used to it.

That's what I did this morning, I figured that if I could keep the mask on his face, at least he's breathing in when he's wailing.
Unfortunately we had to force it on Edie when she had RSV about a month ago. It was pretty torturous. At least while she's screaming she's pulling in more medicine!
We also had to force it so I would lay Brady down then his arms out and put my legs over his shoulders and use my legs to hold his head still . If not he would push and turn the mask away.
