Hmmmm.... when we travel now I always take a few socket plugs and a roll of duct tape (for securing lamp wires, toilet lids, the mini fridge door, ect. Just be sure you test and make sure it doesn't remove the paint or wall paper!)
If you are driving, I might throw and adjustable baby gate in the trunk. Are you staying in a house or hotel room?

I was thinking about this too, since we will be going in July. I usually bring a pak n play, socket plugs and a sound machine. Although last time we were in a hotel room, DD slept 1.5 hours in total. It sucked.
The thing I worry about most is the sand. My DD puts EVERYTHING in her mouth. I know it is just sand, but ewwwww....
The wine is a great idea for adult time!!! I will most definitely add that to my list!

We went to FL for Spring Break and took her to the beach one day, she put a big clump of sand in her mouth and then she made the eewwww face and tried to get it out with her hands which were also covered in sand, poor thing. There was sand everywhere though, I had to give her a bath after we got back.
For the beach specifically we brought sunblock, hat, cover up, extra outfit, snacks, bottles, sippy, blanket, swim diapers, regular diapers and wipes, sunglasses, toys, floatie.
We stayed at my parents house but the main things we had to bring were a travel high chair, stroller, pack n play. Tons of clothes for every possible kind of weather
We are going with a group of friends and will be in a beach house. So room sharing, lots of booze! It is only a couple of hours away. I am worried about the sandy mouth and crotch problem. And making him lobster red.
Signing in to this thread for tips. We're spending a week in Destin in June.
I live here. Evan actually hated the sand at first, but he is getting used to it. He doesn't try to eat the sand, but I do have to keep a constant eye on him for sea shells/random objects. There is no avoiding getting sand everywhere :/ Deatin Commons also has a playground and small splash park made for small toddlers when you need a break from the beach.

We are spending a week at the beach in June. Here is my list: sunscreen, towel, float for pool, white T-shirt to wear while in sun, hat, easy snacks to throw in beach bag, reusable bags for soiled clothes or items with sand. So glad our condo has a washer and dryer!
